BADD Racing is a BMX frame manufacturer out of Illinois. BADD and Company started making race frames in the mid 1980’s. The goal for a group of BMX dads was to have something they could call their own. BADD is an acronym, for it’s founders: Bruce (Goin) And Dave (Cosley) Dave (Kirby). That dream started in a small space at the back of blow mold shop. From there, BADD was a dedicated, driven BMX frame manufacturer that held its own among top companies in the industry for many years.
The BADD name would change ownership in the 90’s to local Illinois BMX racer and business owner Terry Clapp. Terry’s mindset was similar and frames continued to be manufactured in the states all through the 90’s and early 2000’s.
In 2007, the BADD trademark would again change ownership. State, national, and world champion BMX racer George Andrews would take over. Once again with the help of two race dads Jim Buchanan and Shawn Whitfield frames were being manufactured in the states again.
Over the next several years BADD produced quality frames ridden by some of the countries top level amateurs and pros. While Jim and Shawn have moved on to other ventures, George is driven to continue bringing the brand to new heights.
Today, George Andrews and Bona Kramp have, once again, resurrected the BADD Racing brand. The same concepts of quality and innovation remain today. Our newly-designed race frames challenge BMX frame geometry and set a new standard for how riders accelerate to the finish line.
